Intervals Training
Better yourself with variety
Interval training describes the training method whereby short periods of high intensity exercise are mixed in with short rest periods. Research shows that this form of exercise is excellent for burning fat and increasing metabolism.
These classes are made up of partner boxing, "battling ropes", bands, various medicine ball exercises, agility drills and body weight strength work, and some other creative methods. The main benefit of these classes, as opposed to most gym programs, is that they work the body in all three movement planes - front-back, side-side and twisting. This strengthens the body in the most functional manner. They also address most of the body's "bio-motor abilities" of strength, flexibility, co-ordination, agility, power/speed, endurance and balance. This is why they can be seen as the ultimate in exercise sessions.
Here's what some current participants have to say about them:
Andrew is a great “coach” and motivator. His classes have helped me become more focussed in my fitness regime, challenged my physical tolerances and pushed me to new levels of both physical and mental performance. Andrew has customised some classes to help me generate and maintain energy through a hectic work environment and manage considerable stress. I would be a different person without Andrew’s classes.

I have been a very keen road runner for more than 20 years and have done very little other exercise or strengthening in the past. About a year ago I started developing a back ache and other joint pain and realized that I would have to alter my exercise regime. I was very reluctant to give up running, but realized my body was not going to handle the pounding for much longer.
I was introduced to Andrew and his classes through a mutual friend. I explained to him that I wanted to vary my exercise regime. Ideally I wanted to do an overall body workout incorporating stretching, strengthening and some fat burning.
I found the interval classes to be exactly what I needed. I have been attending 2 sessions a week for almost a year now and have reduced my road running to once or twice a week. I have found the sessions to be most enjoyable. I feel fitter, stronger and healthier than any time in the past and I don’t wake up with the aches and pains that I used to.
Andrew is very dedicated to his profession and aware of the individual needs of his clients. I feel I could continue with this exercise regime for the rest of my active life!

I have been attending Andrew’s exercise sessions for over 2 years now. I have always been one who exercises more out of necessity than want, however, I found that for the first time in my life I was enjoying exercise and seeing real results.
Unlike other trainers I have had, Andrew not only proves he is up to date with the latest research regarding training and exercise, but is clear and concise in his instructions and the benefits expected from the different tasks he sets.
To add to all the positive results gained from his sessions such as weight loss, fitness and a longer attention span throughout my day, I can honestly say that I thoroughly enjoy the time we spend exercising. There are always a few laughs while being challenged to reach new heights in our training regime.
