We offer an entire separate gym dedicated to kettlebells at our practice. Kettlebells, also known as Russian bells or gyria, have been used in Russia for hundreds of years, but are only just making their way into mainstream fitness. They are an amazing tool to lose weight, gain strength and improve your fitness, all at once. They are the training method of choice for many power athletes like martial artists and wrestlers.

A new study in the April, 2010 issue of the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research has shown that kettlebell training can improve VO2 max - seen as the ultimate guide to one's aerobic fitness. This demonstrates the great ability of kettlebells to improve cardio fitness as well as strength. Because of this they are a great option for those people who can't (or don't want to) run becasue of injury, to get good cardio benefits.
